As massive Airsoft enthusiasts for some time, we’re always more than excited to try out some new guns that have just hit the market.  The Elite Force 1911 Pistol was one that we were especially eager to get our hands on, having heard so much about it since it first arrived on the market.  And, we’re pleased to say that it totally lives up to the hype, both in terms of its performance and its overall design.

Today, we’ll be reviewing this exceptional pistol in full detail, because we want to share with you why it’s such a coveted piece of gear among real-deal Airsoft fans like us.

Frame and Aesthetics

First up, let’s talk about the design elements and frame.  One thing that we want to make clear is that this gun is extremely durable, and this is something that we know matters to a lot of you reading this review.  Beneath the frame is a full metal structure that doesn’t just make the gun resilient, but it makes you feel like you’re handling something that’s very high in quality.  We know that for us, this durability adds to the enjoyment of the game, because it helps with the authenticity of things.

The frame itself is a two-tone design of tan and black, and we can’t help but say that the aesthetically pleasing nature of it also makes us like it more.  The orange tip on the outer barrel is another great touch.  There are iron sights on both the front and back, with each featuring a white dot.  They definitely help in terms of target acquisition.

Something else that we love is that this gun allows you to attach lights and lasers easily thanks to a rail system on the lower receiver.  We know that a lot of people like to play Airsoft at night, and we’d argue that this gun may be one of the best for games played in the dark.

Trigger

Now, let’s move onto the trigger and the grip.  Simply put, this gun feels great in the hand during operation.  The stippled back strap is a really nice feature, as is the enhanced beaver safety tail.  It has an ambidextrous safety lever, which is nice because so much gear that we come across is not friendly toward our lefty friends.  If there’s one thing we can say, is that this grip is extremely firm, which is exactly what you want when using a pistol.

Internal Mechanisms

Something about this gun that’s unique is that it’s one of the few pistols we’ve come across that’s actually great for long-distance shooting.  This, of course, is because of the hop-up.  To take advantage of this feature the slide needs to be removed, so bear that in mind as this is not always the case with Airsoft guns.  As you know, this gun is CO2-powered.  It comes with a 14-round magazine.  Just a note: you’re probably going to want to grab more ammo right off the bat, because we found that 14 rounds is not enough to really get the most out of this gun.  Luckily, extended rounds for this gun are easily available and the price is right.

Another thing to note is that the gun is a single action pistol, so bear that in mind when you’re on the field as it’s not quite as intuitive as other options that are on the market.

How This Airsoft Gun Performs

Now, we can get to the fun part.  The first thing that we noticed, and really enjoyed, was the power of the blowback, which was so satisfying it almost made firing the gun addictive.  The blowback is accompanied by a considerably loud bang which also added to the realism of the experience.  The other thing that we noticed is that the gun performed really well at a variety of different ranges and boy did we test it out a lot.  We fired it at close range as well as from several distances, and each time, we were perfectly satisfied with the performance.

One of the More Popular Airsoft Guns to Enter the Airsoft Universe

Overall, the Elite Force 1911 Pistol is truly awesome, and we’re happy that we got to have some time trying it out.  While some of its features may take a bit of getting used to, the performance is excellent, it’s extremely accurate, versatile and more than capable of handling your needs on the field.
