The EMG STI TTI John Wick 3 Combat Master is one of those Airsoft guns that people can’t seem to wait to get their hands on, us included. This pistol has gotten a lot of hype and has excited players before they’ve even gotten a chance to handle it in person.
We’re very happy that we got the chance to play around with it, and we’ll be covering it today in a detailed review so that you can get a better idea of what it’s capable of, and whether or not it’s deserving of all of the positive attention that it’s been getting.
The Exterior
Let’s get one thing out of the way: this gun is a thing of beauty. As soon as you take it out of the box, you can’t help but feel a sense of giddiness because of how gorgeous it is, and how truly realistic it looks. Props to the company for truly going above and beyond to design such a great model.
When you finally get it in your hands, you’ll notice that it’s got a nice feel to it. So many pistols look great but feel rather, well, cheap. This guy has the perfect weight that you want when playing Airsoft, and the sturdiness is apparent immediately. Basically, it’s one of the most realistic guns that we’ve handled in a long time, in just about every way possible.
The gold outer barrel is a nice touch, and definitely lines up with the real gun that this model is based on.
Another feature that we love is the intuitive mag well, which is great for players since you can quickly insert your mag without having to fumble around. The design of it makes it so easy to just shove your mag in there and get on with your game.
The Internals
To our delight, the internals are equally awesome. The blowback is absolutely perfect and designed to be stunningly authentic. It’s got a 310-330 velocity and offers an adjustable hop-up. Remember that this is a green gas gun.
The Grip and Trigger
The John Wick 3 has, without a doubt, one of our favorite grips to ever be put onto a pistol. It’s got the right texture and the right level of ergonomics to really act like a gamechanger. The trigger is, unsurprisingly, the right level of responsive, and again feels really great and comfortable. We expect that you’ll be able to operate it for a long time without feeling cramped up or fatigued.
The Magazine
The gun has a 30rd capacity.
The Performance
Okay, time to talk about the fun part – its performance. Simply put, it lives up to the hype. Like we said, the blowback is excellent. Shooting our target was nice and easy, as the accuracy is, to be honest, phenomenal. It shoots nice and fast, and we got it to about 350 fps. We didn’t go crazy with distance, because it wasn’t necessary, but we wouldn’t be surprised if you could really push this thing beyond limits.
Overall, it was a pleasure to shoot with the John Wick 3. It satisfied all of our needs and exceeded our expectations.
