In the Airsoft community, we’ve been hearing about the highly anticipated KWA QRF MOD1 Airsoft Gun and KWA QRF MOD2 Airsoft Gun for quite some time.  Well, at last, they’ve arrived, and players can’t wait to get their hands on both of them.  Needless to say, these two models share many similarities, but they’re also unique in their own ways, and any Airsoft player would consider themselves quite fortunate to be able to enjoy both.

Today, we’ll be discussing this series and comparing the two models.  As you’ll see, they’re both exceptional options for the Airsoft enthusiast, and they each bring something very special to the table.  If you’re a true diehard player, you just may want to save up for both of them.

Both Airsoft guns are a bit on the pricier side, and they basically cost the same amount.  They’re both electrically powered, which many believe is superior.  They each boast both fully and semi-automatic firing modes, which you would expect from these types of models.  And, they both have fps ranges of 320 to 370.

Each weigh 5.48 pounds, and their barrel lengths are identical.  They both have a 19+ rate of fire, and an identical power source.  Each has a pistol caliber platform, and they’re both black in color.  Also, they’re fully ambidextrous.  Needless to say, they’re both highly durable, as you’d expect with this brand.  But, the similarities end there.  Let’s take a closer look into what makes each model so unique.

The KWA QRF Mod 1

First, let’s talk about the Mod 1.  This beauty was developed with some of the most highly respected engineers, ensuring that it’s the perfect rifle.  It features the AEG 2.5 gearbox and allows you to adjust the fps according to the game.  It boasts a newly designed PDW stock, a high-torque motor, switch life extender and high-speed gear set.

The length ranges from 22 to 26.75 inches, making it the shorter of the two models.  It has a magazine capacity of 80 as a result.

The KWA QRF Mod 2

The Mod 2 is essentially a more versatile take on the Mod 1, being compatible with TK45 magazines.  It features the version 2 gearbox and is compatible with the Gate Titan MOSFETs and advanced electronic trigger units.  This feature allows you to really customize your gun and enjoy a more advanced model.

Internally, the Mod 2 and Mod 1 are practically identical.  However, the design elements make them unique from each other, with the Mod 2 having a very distinctive style.  The Mod 2 is, according to many, the more aesthetically striking option, if you care about that kind of thing.

Which Airsoft Gun is Better?

Well, as you can see, they’re really not that different, aside from specific elements.  Needless to say, they’ll both further ensure a win, and they have some truly spectacular features and advanced technology.  What makes the Mod 2 so different from the Mod 1, primarily, is that it’s designed in a more unique way from a visual standpoint, and it’s more customizable.  Meanwhile, the Mod 1 is shorter in size and has a smaller magazine capacity.

Obviously, if you’ve been playing Airsoft for a while, you have a pretty good idea of what your needs are when it comes to your weapons.  So, compare the two models before choosing which one is right for you.  Or, if you’re an Airsoft head like we are, give both of them a try.

Quickly Taking Over the Airsoft World, and for Good Reason

Both of these rifles are exquisite in design, highly reliable and super advanced.  As you can see, they share a lot in common, from their weight to the internal functions.  However, they are just different enough to make the choice between the two a difficult one.  Whichever one you choose, we’re certain that you won’t be sorry, and that you’ll be able to show off to all of your Airsoft friends as soon as it arrives at your door.
